4000-piece LEGO MOC Godzilla

Godzilla is probably one of the most challenging, if not impossible, creature to recreate accurately with LEGO elements. All these while there have been attempts, but most of them look a lot less intimidating than the silver screen counterpart – especially the most recent iteration in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. TBH, I never gave LEGO Godzilla much thought until I stumble upon this: a LEGO MOC Godzilla by Redditor u/frenchybricksjunky (AKA The Frenchy Bricks Junky).

I was immediately blown away by its scale. The Frenchy Bricks Junky’s creation is massive, packing in some 4,000 pieces which took him 4 months to complete. The result, though not as accurate, is suitably imposing and looks as every bit as intimidating as the movie’s. Kudos to The Frenchy Bricks Junky for the incredible texture recreated using 1x1x2/3 slop (AKA ‘Cheese’ slope or wedge). Even better, this model is fully articulated, thus allowing it to make different poses.

If you are hoping to creating your won, the good news is, The Frenchy Bricks Junky is selling the instructions for his iteration of the infamous kaiju on Rebrickable. All you need is 20 euros (about US$22.40), and a whole lot of LEGO bricks and you are all set to build yourself one. Meanwhile, you can see more of the 4000-piece LEGO MOC Godzilla in the video below.
