Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Smartphone

Xiaomi has just unveiled a new Redmi device, the Redmi K20 Pro that packs some serious flagship features and a price that will give its competition a run for their money. For starter, it is notch-less (yay!) and the sleek, uninterrupted edge-to-edge display is completed by an in-display fingerprint sensor. Unfortunately, though, the triple camera setup around the back still sport the annoying camera bump. Well, at least it is in the middle which should minimize the annoyance factor when you try to tap on your device while it is lying flat on a surface.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro may have a starting price of just 2,499 yuan (around US$361), but it is no slouch in the specifications which includes the current flagship chip, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform with fourth-generation AI engine (AIE), up to 8 GB LPDDR4x 2,133 MHz dual-channel RAM, up to 256 GB UFS 2.1 storage, and a large 6.39-inch Samsung AMOLED FHD+ display flouting 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and 403 ppi.

Other highlights include a tri-camera setup comprising of a 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 13 MP ultra wide angle camera and a 8 MP telephoto lens, a 20 MP front-facing camera, seven-generation in-display fingerprint sensor, 4G+/4G LTE radio, dual channel, dual-antenna GPS (L1+L5 GPS, E1+E5a Galileo, along with GLONASS and Beidou), Bluetooth 5.0, and a 4,000 mAh battery with support for 27W fast charge. Oh, did we mention that it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack? Yup, it still has that.

With Redmi K20 Pro, Xiaomi once again shows that it has an obsession for cooling, bestowing it with a specially designed three dimensional heat dissipation structure that features an 8-layer graphite, thermally conductive gel, copper foil, as well as thermal silica gel. All told, the Redmi K20 Pro claims a heat dissipation of 650 percent over a typical handset and 8 degrees Celsius cooler CPU. The cooling feature, along with the presence of Game Turbo 2.0 and Mi Turbo suggests that Xiaomi is marketing it as a gaming smartphone, even though it did not specifically said that.
