Not every petrol head can afford a Ferrari, let alone a race car. But thanks to LEGO, most automobile enthusiasts can roll-up their sleeves to build their very own Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse #51.
Hot on the heels of the LEGO 42123 Technic McLaren Senna GTR is the made-for-Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) LEGO 42125 Technic Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse #51.
This LEGO iteration of the prancing horse marque’s endurance race car packs 1,677 pieces and loaded with authentic features including front and rear suspension, aerodynamic curves, opening doors and hood, a V8 engine with moving pistons, and a functional steering wheel emblazoned with the Prancing Horse badge.
As you can see, it is a LEGO replica of the track-going Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse #51, complete with race number, sponsor stickers and an authentic Tricolore paint job.
When completed, the model measures 19 inches (48 cm) long, 8.5 inches (21 cm) wide and 5 inches (13 cm) tall.
At a glance at the product images, it looks almost like a scale model and not a LEGO model. Pretty impressive.
The fact that each set comes with a special building instruction book featuring exclusive content, including details about the car and the AF Corse 51 team, makes it a must-have for any motorsports fan.
LEGO 42125 Technic Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse #51 is set to hit the shelves beginning January 1st, 2021, for US$169.99.
