You probably have not heard of We by LOEWE. LOEWE with a period or for the sake of better clarity—Loewe Technology GmbH—the Gerrman TV maker, not the luxury bag maker. ‘We’ is a subbrand from the TV maker aimed at a younger audience—possibly the same audience that JBL and Urbanears have captured.
The We brand’s portfolio, which includes We Hear 1 and We Hear 2 portable speakers, is now joined by a new We Hear Pro model. It is a big deal—especially if you are a major football fan—because the new We Hear Pro is launched as a collaboration with French professional footballer Kylian Mbappé Lottin.
The speaker, an evolution of the existing We Hear 2, is not simply Kylian lending his name to it. The footballer worked with the LOEWE. team on this project.
The most significant difference between the We Hear Pro and the We Hear 2 is the color. In addition to offering three striking colors, the new Kylian x LOEWE. Bluetooth Speaker features an improved carrying strap, and increased power output, and it is rocking super cool slider controls.
The Kylian x LOEWE. Bluetooth Speaker packs 4 drivers and 2 passive bass radiators, which are bolstered by a class-D amplifier, to deliver 100 watts of audio.
The speaker is powered by a battery that is good for up to 24 hours of runtime per charge. The battery supports fast charging, allowing it to be topped in just 2 hours when charged with compatible USB-C PD chargers.
Other spec sheet details include a frequency response of 50 Hz – 20,000 Hz, separate bass and treble control, Bluetooth 5.3, IPX6 certification for water and dust resistance, support AAC, and it has a built-in microphone and there is a 3.5 mm stereo line-in.
You know how most Bluetooth speaker of such nature lets you pair another unit to create stereo sound? Well, not this one. Kylian x LOEWE. Bluetooth Speaker takes it even further; it boasts true wireless multi-pairing functionality that lets you sync up to 14 speakers simultaneously. 14! Can you imagine that? Absolutely bonkers.
The device is not small. It measures 28 cm wide, 13.89 cm tall, and 13.5 cm deep but it weighs just 2.2 kilograms. If anyone’s interested, the Kylian x LOEWE. Bluetooth Speaker is available now for US$250.
