Good news, fans of Studio Ghibli! Following last year’s collaboration with Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away, Spanish luxury fashion label LOEWE is back with yet another collab with Studio Ghibli. This time it is with one of my all-time favorite animated fantasy films, Howl’s Moving Castle (ハウルの動く城) from 2004 (my other favorite is Steamboy, also from 2004, btw).
The second capsule collection with Studio Ghibli is not just another collaboration; Howl’s Moving Castle is also LOEWE creative director, Jonathan Anderson’s favorite. Expected to find familiar LOEWE silhouettes featuring the film’s key characters like Howl, Sophie, Calcifer, and Turnip – just to name a few.
According to our source, house staples, including the likes of Puzzle, Flamenco, Hammock, Amazona, and more, will also get the Howl’s Moving Castle treatment, showcasing scenes from the movie. But clearly, the spotlight will be on the bags which appear to include a Howl’s Moving Castle bag with legs and all. Lovely.
