Philips Screeneo UL5 Smart RGB Laser Projector

The uber sleek, compact ultra-short throw projector from Philips, Screeno U4, has a successor. Joining Philips’ growing line of short-throw projectors is the Philips Screeneo UL5 Smart RGB Laser Projector. Aesthetically, it shares much of the U4’s design language, but under the hood, it is rocking updated hardware that enables an ultra-short throw ratio of 0.23:1, an FHD 1080p resolution, and support for HDR10.

The Philips Screeneo UL5 Smart is not any old laser projector; it is a state-of-the-art triple RGB ultra short throw laser projector that boasts a triple RGB laser and AI-driven auto focus—bolstered by the latest DLP tech from Texas Instruments. The projector further touts built-in dual-band Wi-Fi, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C inputs, built-in LuminOS with popular apps, and can serve up an epic 100” from just 20” (51 cm) away.

For those with an eye for colors, this little big guy produces FHD pictures with HDR10 and with an ultra-wide color gamut (108% REC.2020). It does all these while remaining super compact, measuring 94 x 86.6 x 206 mm (3.7 x 3.4 x 8.1 inches), and weighing a kilogram (2.5 lbs). And oh, yes, you can also place it in tower orientation and projects on the floor too. Like, how cool is that?
