Forget about die-cast cars. If you are a petrolhead and an absolute concrete enthusiast with a home equipped with a concrete basin, concrete faucet, concrete speakers, concrete espresso machine, and more, then you will probably want a concrete Porsche too. Enter the Concrete Sculpture — Porsche 911 GT3 S/C.
As the product name suggests, it is a concrete sculpture of the 911 GT3 S/C—specifically the 992.2. Handcrafted in Germany and reinforced with a carbon-fiber frame, this is really more of an art piece than anything else, and it most certainly is a hell of a statement piece. Or should I say, a statement slab?
There are two versions available, both measuring 800 mm (31.5 inches) wide, 450 mm (17.7 inches) tall, and 50 mm (2 inches) thick, while tipping the scales at a hefty 16 kilograms (35 pounds). Because apparently—or rather, quite fittingly—concrete things should feel like concrete things.
The first version is finished in light grey and keeps things simple. The second adds decorative inlays to both the exterior and interior and even includes a removable magnetic convertible top. In either case, the back is supported by a carbon-fiber frame, and each sculpture arrives in a premium wooden box with a booklet, installation instructions, and a drilling template should you decide to mount your concrete 911 on the wall like a trophy.
Both sculptures are limited to just 50 pieces and proudly wear a Limited Edition badge. They are made from concrete, carbon fiber, and aluminum, which sounds suspiciously like the ingredients list for a modern sports car.
And yes, these things cost more than some actual used cars. The Concrete Sculpture — Porsche 911 GT3 S/C is available now from Porsche for US$13,439 plus tax for both the original concrete version as well as the red livery version. At that price, one almost expects it to come with a tiny concrete flat-six soundtrack.
