Another year, another Amazon Echo, but this year, the Echo is completely redesigned. The 4th Generation Echo now comes as a spherical speaker that promised better audio performance, delivered through a 3.0-inch woofer, dual-firing tweeters, and Dolby processing technology.
The Amazon Echo 4th Generation Smart Speaker promised clear highs, dynamic mids, and deep bass “for rich, detailed sound that automatically adapts to any room.”
Voice control remains the key feature of Echo, allowing you to ask Alexa anything or do anything, including initial streaming of sons from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify and more, which it also does.
Moreover, it is now a built-in hub that works with Zigbee devices or the coming soon Ring Smart Lighting products, allowing voice control of those smart devices.
Other highlights include multi-room music support, compatibility with Amazon Fire TV, make hands-free voice calls, microphone kill switch to safeguard your privacy, and an intercom of sort that lets you instantly drop in on other rooms, or announce to the whole household that dinner’s ready. Of course, there’s more to it than these.
You can hit up the Amazon Echo 4th Generation Smart Speaker product page to learn more, or secure yourself a unit. The product is expect to ship starting on October 22, 2020 in the U.S. for US$99.99.
