As the product name suggests, Angry Miao Cyberboard R2 Le Smoking Keyboard is inspired by Le Smoking. Wait. Le, what? Le Smoking. It is a Saint Laurent tuxedo for ladies designed by Hedi Slimane while he was the creative director of YSL.
So, is it an officially licensed YSL merchandise? Ermm, nope. It’s merely “inspired by”.
With this keyboard, the brand hope to elevate computer hardware to the fashionable level. Available in three matte and glossy color combinations: Jet Black, Psychedelic and Meteor Grey, and features a CNC-machined, 100% aluminum alloy frame which is sandblasted and mirror polished before given a PVD coating that lends it the shiny mirror appearance.
The Cyberboard Le Smoking is the world’s first 100% aluminum alloy keyboard and the first in the keyboard industry to rock PVD coating.
Other highlights include an upgraded Gasket Mount for better sound and feel, hollowed out leaf-spring-like structure that reduces resonance and improved spring action, seamless switching between Bluetooth and wireless modes, and upgraded RGB hardware that offers 256-level of dimming and in-switch lighting function.
And the price for a keyboard with these fancy features? A cool US$580 and up. Now, that’s a luxe gadgets without the bling and perfect companion to other luxe gadgets like Volonic Valet 3, or perhaps, the brand’s very own Joker-inspired wireless charging pad.
