Apple’s iPad Air just hit the gym and bulked up—both in performance and in size options. Now available in 11-inch and 13-inch versions, the new iPad Air packs the M3 chip, making it nearly twice as fast as its M1 predecessor. That’s a solid jump, especially for those still clinging to the M1-powered model from 2022, which now looks like a charming relic in comparison.

With its beefed-up GPU, the M3 Air can handle ray tracing and high-end graphics, bringing console-like visuals to a tablet. Apple also threw in some AI smarts, including Apple Intelligence, which can edit photos, refine handwritten notes, and even generate emojis to match your deepest emotions—assuming you ever wanted AI-generated feelings.
Accessory lovers can pair the iPad Air with the new Magic Keyboard, which is now slightly more affordable. And if you’re into the Apple Pencil lifestyle, it supports both the Pro model and the standard USB-C version.
As for the price… thankfully there’s no hike here. It is still US$599 for the 11-inch model and US$799 for the 13-inch. If you were hoping for an “Air” price drop, well, Apple has other plans.
