ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) introduces the ROG Phone 8 series, a fusion of gaming excellence and lifestyle versatility. This series undergoes its most significant redesign yet, offering a slimmer and lighter build with a focus on premium design.
At its core, the ROG Phone 8 series features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, backed by 8533 Mbps LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The chipset delivers a 25% increase in GPU performance and efficiency. The series includes the GameCool 8 thermal design and the AeroActive Cooler X, reducing temperatures significantly for sustained performance. It’s also the first IP68-rated gaming smartphone for dust and water resistance.
The display is a standout with a 6.78” flexible AMOLED panel, adaptive refresh rates up to 165 Hz, and a peak brightness of 2500 nits. It offers exceptional color accuracy, thanks to a collaboration with Pixelworks®.
Camera capabilities include a 50 MP Sony main sensor, a 13 MP ultrawide camera, and a 3X telephoto lens with OIS. Enhanced with a 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 3.0 and ASUS HyperClarity technology, the cameras promise crisp, stable images and videos.
The series boasts AI enhancements for gaming, including Background Mode, X Capture, AI Grabber, and X Sense. AI-powered noise cancellation ensures clear voice communications.
Customization is key with the Aura RGB Lighting logo and AniMe Vision Mini-LED display, allowing users to showcase personalized animations.
The ASUS ROG Phone 8 series is offered in a choice of ROG 8 and ROG 8 Pro with a starting of US$1,099.99 and US$1,199.99, respectively.
