The Aukey Omnia series charging adapters we talked about earlier this year is finally here. OK. That’s not entirely true. While the 100W model’s availability was announced on the 20th, the ultra-compact, dual-port Omnia Duo 65W which uses the same OmniaChip technology is already available.
If anyone’s keen, you can pick the 65W model over at Amazon for $54.99. Now back to the star of the post, the Aukey Omnia 100W PD Charger. The charging adapter is the latest in the Omnia series to be outfitted with OmniaChip featuring gallium nitride (GaN) circuitry.
Armed with this tech, it allows the adapter to be super compact and in this instance, it is only half the size and weight of Apple’s 96W charger while remaining perfectly powerful to keep a 16-inch MacBook Pro juiced.
In addition, it can also fast-charge any USB Power Delivery (PD) devices at maximum speed. Supported devices include Nintendo Switch, iPad Pro and select smartphones like the latest iPhones. Strangely, it does not support 45W fast charging for Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.
Rounding up the package a clean, minimalist design and folding prongs to make it even more compact when not in use.
If you are down, you can pick up the Aukey Omnia 100W PD Charger on shop.aukey.com for $54.99. One last thing. It looks like Aukey is having a Spring sale where you can take 20% off with the use of this code: PA-B5.
