If you have been living under a rock, you probably did not know that Baby-G, Casio’s tough-yet-trendy sister brand to G-Shock, designed with the fairer sex in mind, is no longer just the smaller sibling borrowing hand-me-down designs. The Baby-G + Plus line already proved that point last year by ditching tradition for a brand-new square case that actually makes sense on smaller wrists. Anyhoo, the Baby-G + Plus BGD-10 Series is back with a new addition, the BGD10KH, and subtle is clearly not on the agenda.

This one leans fully into fun. The watch comes in bright, pop-casual pastel colors with a matte finish that looks like it escaped from a stationery store in the best way possible. The big twist is the removable center case, which pops out and slots into a heart-shaped holder. Yes, your watch can become a charm. No, Baby-G does not feel the need to explain itself.
Wear it as a regular wristwatch, or turn it into a dangling time-telling accessory. Stickers are encouraged. Responsibility for decorating disasters, however, remains entirely yours. Press the button, and the LED backlight lights up the LCD with a heart shape, just in case the design was not already doing enough.
Behind all the playful chaos, it is still very much a Baby-G. The resin case measures 42.8 mm long, 39 mm wide, and 14.7 mm thick, weighs just 33 g, and is shock-resistant with 100-meter water resistance. It covers 29 world time zones, runs a stopwatch, a countdown timer, five daily alarms, and a full auto calendar through 2099. Battery life is rated at around three years on a CR1616.
In short, it is cute, tough, customizable, and unapologetically playful.
The Baby-G + Plus BGD-10 Series BGD10KH line is available in four colors, priced at US$89 each.
