Never mind that we did not let you in on the 1/144 Gundam Factory Yokohama RX-78F00 Gundam and Gundam Dock because there’s a better one coming your way. Bandai DX Chogokin series has just revealed a Bandai DX Chogokin Gundam Factory Yokohama RX-78F00 Gundam.
Since the beginning of the Gundam Factory Yokohama, there has been countless merchandise, especially collectible figures and plastic model kits. But this time, the Bandai DX Chogokin Gundam Factory Yokohama RX-78F00 [JP] not only touts die-cast parts and is enormous, towering at 370 mm (about 14.6 inches), but it also boasts lights and sounds.
What makes these lights and sounds so special is that they actually recreate the show effects as you would see if you are at Gundam Factory Yokohama. The only thing it cannot do is move, albeit at a snail’s pace, like the 1:1 scale version. On the flip side, though, it is very poseable. And it does come with the beam rifle, beam saber, and shield if you decided to remove it from the Gundam Dock to explore the various poses.
And did we mention it has a replica of the support structure aka the Gundam Dock like the real thing? That brings us to another cool feature of the Bandai DX Chogokin Gundam Factory Yokohama RX-78F00 and that is the armor can be removed to reveal a replica of the 1:1 movable RX-78F00.
Now for the not-so-good news. The Bandai DX Chogokin Gundam Factory Yokohama RX-78F00 is only available on sale by lottery with a cool 99,000 yen (or around US$726 today) sticker. With that said, this means it is a Japan exclusive. Lucky fans who won a place to buy it can expect shipping in December 2023.
