Bell & Ross Vintage BR V2-94 R.S.18

To mark the return Formula 1 to France, luxury watchmaker and official watch partner of the Renault Sport Formula One Team, Bell & Ross, has introduced a new Vintage model. Designated Bell & Ross Vintage BR V2-94 R.S.18, it bears some similarities to the Bell & Ross x Renault Sport Formula One BR-X1 RS17 which was auctioned off last year at a charity event.

With colors on the dial referencing to the Renault Sport Formula One Team, the Bell & Ross Vintage BR V2-94 R.S.18 features a 41 mm satin-finished steel case, a carbon fiber dial, calibre BR-CAL.301. automatic mechanical movement, 30-minute timer at 9 o’clock, central chronograph seconds, small seconds at 3 o’clock, and a date window between 4 and 5 o’clock.

Other features include appliqué superluminova-filled numerals, metal skeletonized superluminova-filled hour and minute hands, ultra-curved sapphire with anti-reflective coating, water resistance to 100 meters (328 feet), and a choice of micro-perforated calfskin strap with carbon fiber effect and a yellow lining, or a bracelet in matching satin-finished polished steel.

The Bell & Ross Vintage BR V2-94 R.S.18 is nice and all. The aesthetic is an immediate nod the motorsport and Renault Sport Formula One, but for some reasons, it isn’t as impressive as the BR-X1 RS17. Then again, that was a one-off and carries with a value of $3K. So… Anywho, unlike the one-off piece, this one here is totally within the grasps of any mortal who have the dough to drop. Though, granted, we do not know how much it actually costs.
