BMW did not stop at the BMW M4 CSL to mark the 50 years of BMW M. BMW Motorrad, while fairly new to the M brand, is part of the celebration too. Everyone, meet the celebratory model of the BMW M bike: the BMW M 1000 RR 50 Years M, finished in striking Sao Paulo Yellow and the historic 50 Years BMW M emblem.
The BMW M 1000 RR 50 Years M anniversary model’s styling is further boosted by the M Competition Package as standard – in addition to the extensive M milled parts package and the exclusive M carbon package, a lighter swingarm in silver anodized aluminum, the unlock code for the M GPS laptrigger as well as the M Endurance chain, pillion package, and pillion seat cover.
For those who are unfamiliar the BMW M 1000 RR, which was materialized in 2020, is the first M model from the BMW Motorrad and it is based on the S 1000 RR.
Under the hood, or should say, in the frame, is the same high-revving inline-four engine that puts out 205 horses and 83 lb-ft (113 Nm) of torque, and is quicker than the M4 CSL, rocketing from standstill to 100 (62 mph) in just 3.1 seconds before maxing out at a breathtaking 306 km/h (190 mph).
The 2023 BMW M 1000 RR 50 Years M, unlike its four-wheel counterpart, is actually available to order now, starting at US$37,640.
