You haven’t already heard, BMW ‘M’ has arrived at BMW Motorrad in the form of the BMW M 1000 RR. The good news is, you don’t need to wait long to own one and it’d be light on your bank account. The catch is, it is a 1:5 scale LEGO model.
Folks, this is the LEGO 42130 Technic BMW M 1000 RR Set. Designed with adult fans of LEGO (AFOL) in mind, the LEGO 42130 Technic BMW M 1000 RR is the second BMW two-wheeler following the BMW R 1200 GS to be immortalized with LEGO elements and it is the biggest LEGO motorcycle set yet.
Packing 1,920 pieces and measuring 11 inches tall, 7 inches wide, 18 inches deep (27 x 17 x 45 cm) when built, the LEGO 42130 Technic BMW M 1000 RR really is a sight to behold. Not just for the sheer size, btw, it is the details it has to offer.
The model boasts rubber tires, three different screen dashboard options, a printed windshield, along with functional 3-speed (plus neutral) gearbox, steering, front and rear suspension, chain transmission with gold chain, and inline 4-piston engine.
Rounding up the model is fairing with a red, white, and blue color scheme, and finished with iconic BWM branding.
When completed, you can keep it upright with 2 display stands: a racing stand and a display stand with a display plate with the basic specifications of the motorcycle.
The LEGO 42130 Technic BMW M 1000 RR is set to be available beginning on January 01, 2022, with an asking price of US$229.99.
