Since the introduction of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 28 years ago, there have been many toys based on the team’s primary weapon against supersized aliens, the Dino Megazord. Soon, there will be yet another joining the countless Megazord toys introduced over the years. Megazord, for those who don’t already know, is the combined form of the 5 individual Zord robots piloted by the Rangers.
Called the Hasbro Power Rangers Lightning Collection Zord Ascension Project Mighty Morphin Dino Megazord (phew! quite a mouthful, ain’t it?), this new Megazord is a new mold with inspirations drawn from the Black & Gold 1992 Daizyujin, 1994 Special Edition Megazord, and the 2015 Black & Gold Legacy Megazord.
The new Megazord toy promised more sculpted details, along with features like a removable faceplate on the head to reveal the sculpted Power Rangers in the cockpit and articulation for Tyrannosaurs Dinozord.
The Hasbro Power Rangers Lightning Collection Zord Ascension Project Mighty Morphin Dino Megazord is 1:144 scale and it features five individual Zord figures, each with a sculpted Ranger in its cockpit, that can be combined to form the awesome Dino Megazord in its tank or giant robot modes.
The toy will come with a bunch of accessories – 10 in total – including the iconic Power Sword, cannons, interchangeable hands, and small scale versions of the Rangers in the scale in size with the Megazord.
The Hasbro Power Rangers Lightning Collection Zord Ascension Project Mighty Morphin Dino Megazord will start shipping on approximately August 01, 2022. Unfortunately, it appears pre-order for US$165.99 collectible toy has been sold out.
However, you can still pre-order it from Big Bad Toy Store (US$159.99) and Entertainment Earth (US$165.99).
