BMX GaN Chargers, SSD for iPhone and more

The team behind Hyper clearly decided normal names were boring. Their new brand, BMX (Better Mobile eXperience), is now selling gadgets called GaNsta and ByteSize. At this point, I half expect a product named Mixtape, but nope—it’s chargers, SSDs, and even luggage tags.

GaNsta GaN Chargers

BMX GaNsta GaN Chargers

The GaNsta line takes the humble charging brick and turns it into a flex. These compact gallium nitride chargers push between 45W and 140W, enough for phones, laptops, and anything else you can plug in without tripping a circuit breaker. Each unit has a color LCD showing wattage, temperature, and which port is doing what. AI smart cooling keeps them from cooking themselves, and they’re 20% smaller than the big-name chargers that make your bag feel like it’s carrying bricks.

ByteSize SSDs

ByteSize sounds like a snack, but it’s actually tiny SSDs that cling to your iPhone like barnacles—with up to 2TB of storage. The ByteSize Ultra, at 46 × 18 × 11.5 mm, delivers speeds of 1,050 MB/s read and 950 MB/s write. Perfect for shooting 4K ProRes or RAW video without crying about space. Some models throw in fingerprint security and Apple FindMy, so if it goes missing, you can actually find it instead of just finding excuses.

Finally, BMX dressed up some travel gear in vegan saffiano leather and gave it Apple FindMy powers. There’s a passport wallet that doubles as a SIM hoarder, a key organizer with a bottle opener, and a luggage tag that won’t vanish at baggage claim. Each runs six months per charge and tops up wirelessly or with USB-C.

Hmmm. Why does the song Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio keep playing back in my head whenever I read “GaNsta”? Weird.
