Here’s a new tough timepiece from G-Shock for all the military heads. Marking the brand’s new partnership with the U.K. Ministry of Defence, Casio has announced a new British Army edition of the G-Shock Mudmaster, dubbed British Army x G-Shock Mudmaster (model reference GGB100BA-1A).
An updated Carbon Core Guard Structure, a triple-layered carbon-insert bezel, and a dual layered case back of thin stainless steel and fine resin offers the toughness often demanded by the military, resisting shock as well as sealing it against debris and remaining air and water tight.
As far as the British Army edition goes, it features a camouflage design inspired by the British Army’s Multi Terrain Pattern and an all-black dial – specifically used by the British Army to avoid undue attention when worn on operations.
There’s Bluetooth connectivity too which, when use in conjunction with the G-Shock Connected App, provides a host of data and information, including location indicator, mission log memory, location memory, sunrise and sunset data, calories burned and more.
Other highlights include quad sensors comprising of compass, thermometer, altimeter/barometer, and step tracker, super LED dual illuminator, mud resistant (duh!), plus the usual suite of G-Shock technology like water resistance to 200 meters (656 feet), 1/100 sec. stopwatch, countdown timer, 5 daily alarms, 12/24 hour formats, full auto calendar and world time.
The British Army x G-Shock Mudmaster GGB100BA-1A will retail for £399 (or $460 in the U.S.) when it becomes available this April. In the U.S., you will be able to find in it selling at Macy’s, G-Shock Soho Store, as well as online on gshock.com.
