If you’re a sucker for sleek, cool-looking lifestyle products, then you’ve got to start noticing Japanese brand Bruno, Inc.—basically Asia’s answer to Genuine Fred. The brand has a bunch of super cool products, including that now-viral handheld electric fan which has been copied by, oh, just about everyone. But we’re not here for that. We’re here for this: the Bruno Waterproof Volume Knob Speaker.
I know what it looks like. It is not some fridge ornament. It’s a legit Bluetooth speaker—and the knob? Fully functional. You twist it to adjust the volume. How cool is that?
It has a magnetic base for sticking to ferrous metal surfaces, plus it includes a magnetic ring you can stick to a wall to make your own magnetic zone. It’s also, wait for it, IPX4 waterproof. You know what this means, don’t you? Bathroom crooners, you can finally belt it out without dragging your phone into the splash zone.
The entire speaker is the volume knob. It weighs just 68g (2.4 oz.) and supports pairing two units for stereo sound. Imagine that. Actual stereo sound in the shower. Oh, and it also supports hands-free calling (duh).
We haven’t found it being sold outside Bruno, Inc.’s Japanese website. It comes in beige and blue gray for 4,950 yen [JP] (about US$32) each.
