Here’s another electric pickup truck that will be coming onto the market in 2023. The Canoo All-electric Pickup Truck by LA-based Canoo is built on the automobile maker’s Multi-Purpose Platform that touts a full-size payload with a mid-size pickup truck footprint.
Beyond its rather unusual (and strangely alluring) appearance, the Canoo All-electric Pickup Truck claims to be “as strong as the toughest truck out there” and it is designed for both work and play. It further claims enhanced maneuverability “over any terrain.”
Basic numbers include 1,800 lbs (816 kg) payload capacity, a 6 feet (1.8 m) bed that can be extended to 8 feet (2.4 m), over 500 horsepower, more than 200 miles (322 km) range.
Other key design features include rear or all-wheel drive, dual flip-down tables with expandable depths (on the side of the bed), front fold down craftsman bar with outlets, safe step for access to bed and roof rack, bed dividers for modular configurations, integrated power outlets (also on the sides of the truck), integrated overhead and bed perimeter lighting, roof rack, and a camper shell-ready design for turning this electric workhorse into a weekend adventure vehicle.
As we wait for its launch in 2023, you can learn more about Canoo All-electric Pickup Truck at its product page where you can also put down some money to reserve a unit. However, it is not clear how much it will eventually cost and how much is the refundable deposit.
