If you have not been living deep under the Earth crust, you will probably known that Monster Hunter: World is the biggest thing in video games this year. A Capcom title, this action role-playing game (RPG) has since shipped 6 million copies worldwide in a short span of just two weeks, and that’s not including the soon-to-be-released PC version yet, which is expect to push the sales even further. With such a good start, it presents itself as a good enough reason for Capcom to further boost its presence with a couple of special edition iPhone cases.
For these special Monster Hunter: World iPhone cases, they are made by GILD Design who is no stranger in turning out branded cases, including Biohazard, Metal Gear Solid – just to name a couple. The Capcom x GILD Design Monster Hunter: World comes in two designs based on two Large Monsters from the game, namely, Rathalos and Nergigante, and in a choice of two colors: black or red. The case itself is crafted from a type of alloy called Duralumin, featuring etched logo, as well as motifs based on the respective monsters, and designed to suit iPhone X, iPhone 7/8 and 7/8 Plus.
The Capcom x GILD Design Monster Hunter: World iPhone cases are destined for Japan market with the Rathalos model expected to be available late March, and the Nergigante variety, sometime in mid-April. And oh, they are not cheap. Be prepared to drop a hefty 13,000 yen (about US$120) for a unit when they become available.
