CASIO G-Shock x Kanoa Igarashi G-LIDE

If you have a thing for transparent stuff, or just a fan of surfing, then this latest CASIO G-Shock addition, the limited edition G-LIDE GLX5600KI-7, may just be right up your alley. As you can see, the G-LIDE sports a super cool translucent case (that “evokes the ocean,” CASIO said), but what appeared to be translucent strap is actually completely transparent. The latter kind of helps differentiate it from the the Skeleton series we saw recently.

CASIO G-Shock x Kanoa Igarashi G-LIDE

The watch is presented in collaboration with professional surfer and G-Shock athlete, Kanoa Igarashi. The watch is based on G-LIDE GLX5600 which means it gets Tide and moon graphs and a Moon Age data for anticipating tide and surf swell of the your current location. In addition the translucent case and transparent band, the limited edition G-LIDE gets a mirror finish face along with silver accents, plus the signature of the star surfer which can be found inscribe on case back, face and strap keeper, as well as in illumination when the backlight is turned on.

Besides the obvious nod to the water sport, the CASIO G-Shock G-LIDE GLX5600KI-7 is the GLX5600 you have come to know. This means you can expect standard G-Shock features including 200M (660 feet) water resistance, shock resistance, world time (20 time zones/48 cities), auto EL backlight, flash alert, stopwatch and countdown timer and two multifunction alarms.
