Casio G-Shock x thisisneverthat Wrist Watch

What is it with these collaborations that constantly sold out in a jiffy? The latest to fly off the shelves is this collaborative timepiece by Casio G-Shock and South Korea street wear/collab-obsessed label thisisneverthat.

The Casio G-Shock x thisisneverthat DW-5600TNT-1DR Wrist Watch is based on the Japanese watchmaker’s iconic DW-5600 model.

thisisneverthat takes include an a semi-gloss all-black colorway, along with the street wear label’s branding on the non-active part of the digital watch face and engraved into the metal case back. It is true to the label’s stylish vibe. Nothing to in-your-face, while the touches of the label remain unmistakable.

Beyond the cosmetics, the Casio G-Shock x thisisneverthat DW-5600TNT-1DR Wrist Watch is very much the DW-5600 you have come to accustom with, featuring shock and water resistance to 200 meters (about 660 feet), EL backlight (no fancy backlight graphic, though), countdown timer, stopwatch, alarm and whatnot.

As with most such collaborations, a special packaging is inevitable, but for this particular collab, it actually has something more; it comes with a commemorative T-shirt as part of the deal.

At the time of this post, Casio G-Shock x thisisneverthat DW-5600TNT-1DR Wrist Watch is sold out on its South Korean website. Not sure if it will be restocked and also if it will be available on the brand’s international web store.
