9mm bullet shell cases are the last thing you will associate with music gear, much less earphones but that’s exactly what the Munitio SITi (Standard Issue Titanium): Nine Millimeter Earphones are. whether you are a firearms aficionado or a person who feel the need for novelty gadgets every now and then, this pair of buds will definitely appeal to you. fashioned after the 9mm ammunition shell cases, these earphones also feature what Munitio dubbed as SiliconeHollowPoints, a soft silicon buds with hollows that ensure both comfort fit and noise isolation.
looks and novelty aside, this pair of buds do pack some decent specifications. the Munitio SITi sports a very befitting 9mm drivers with rare earth neodymium magnets, enclosed within a titanium-coated machined copper alloy housing. it also features Munitio’s proprietary BassEnhancingChamber that is said to produce the tightest and most accurate bass without distortion and a custom tuned AccousticSoundFlowSystem ensures the smoothest mid to high frequency response that will minimize ear fatigue. looks like the Munitio SITi not only have fancy aesthetic but also some fancy technology behind it too.
other standard issue features include Kelvar reinforced fabric cable and 24k Gold plated 3.5mm stereo plug. the Munitio SITi: Nine Millimeter Earphones retails for $159 and are available in either Dark Silver (SITi S) with gun metal tips or Deep Gold (SITi G) with gun metal tips finished. there is also a variant with built-in microphone (interestingly, Munitio called the Mic controller the ‘Suppressor’) available which retails for $179. in case silver and gold does not appeal to you, there’s an all black version with ‘suppressor’ for your taking.
