What does a century-old beer, Corona, have in common with a super tough watch, Casio G-Shock? Before now, nothing. But since a week ago, the two seemingly unrelated brands have been united through this: Corona x G-Shock 100 Years Special Edition (GA-2100CR25-2A) [MX].

Based on the GA-2100, affectionately known by fans as the “CasiOak,” a.k.a. the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak for the poor person, this limited edition is a must-have for G-Shock collectors and beer connoisseurs alike—in Mexico, that is, because this handsome collectible is designed exclusively for that market. But you and I both know it will show up on eBay faster than you can say “salud.”
This collab celebrates Corona’s 100 years with a design that mirrors the brand’s iconic cans and bottles. It features a white dial with gold-tone hands and indexes, the unmistakable Corona crown at 12 o’clock, and a matte blue resin case and strap with white detailing. Around the back, the Corona logo is engraved on the caseback, completing the commemorative look.
It’s still very much a G-Shock, though, with 200-meter water resistance, shockproof construction, dual LED illumination, stopwatch, timer, world time, alarms, and a 3-year battery life. The set comes in premium blue-and-gold packaging with “100 Years Special Edition” proudly stamped on it.
The Corona x G-Shock 100 Years Special Edition retails for MX$3,899 [MX] in Mexico, which works out to be around US$212 based on the current going rate.
