Is roller skating a thing again? Well, it might be—because adidas now has a pair of roller skates to sell you. Unlike the roller skates of the past, which were more metal clamps than footwear, adidas’s first foray into this nostalgic gear is, obviously, all about the shoes (kinda!).
As the name suggests, the adidas Superstar 82 Roller Skates take inspiration from the classic adidas Superstar sneakers. But since ankle support is kind of important when you’re gliding around like an ’80s disco legend, these Superstars have gone high-top. The skates feature smooth, coated black leather, complete with the iconic serrated 3-Stripes, a rounded shell toe, and a rubber outsole—now with wheels.
Speaking of wheels, they come equipped with a front brake for when you need to stop in style (or avoid a faceplant). Plus, the wheels themselves proudly flaunt the adidas Superstar branding, so everyone knows you’re rolling with a legend.
The skates are available in two colorways: the funky Silver Metallic/Core Black/Cloud White for those who want all eyes on them, and the classic Core Black/Cloud White/Silver Metallic for the low-key skaters who just want to vibe.
