Joining the Bandai CSM (Complete Selection Modification) series of premium-level collectibles is the Kamen Rider Black Sun Transformation Belt, the CSM Century King Sun Driver.
Originally announced as Black Sun Henshin Belt, the CSM Century King Sun Driver [JP] is the first fully automatic CSM device. Sensors within the belt detect the transformation poses and activate the belt transformation sequence as seen in the series.
Along with the automated transformation are light and sound effects, background music, as well as dialogs by actor Hidetoshi Nishijima who played the protagonist Kotaro Minami aka Kamen Rider Black Sun.
There are two buttons cleverly integrated at the top of the belt, one for activating the BGM, and the other triggers the voice line.
You can choose either to accompany the transformation sequence which also has its own set of sounds. Also included are sounds for Kotaro’s Black Migratory Locust Kaijin form.
Each belt is individually hand-painted, complete weathering, by a craftsperson.
The Bandai Kamen Rider Black Sun Transformation Belt aka CSM Century King Sun Driver is available to order, priced at 44,000 yen (approx. US$298) a pop, on Premium Bandai from October 28, 2022, to January 24, 2023, 23:00 Hours Japan Time.
It is scheduled to ship starting in March 2023. Meanwhile, you can catch the Kamen Rider Black Sun on Amazon Prime Video. For the uninitiated, Kamen Rider Black Sun is a reboot of the 1987 series Kamen Rider Black.
The series was released through Prime Video on October 28, 2022, and it was created as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Kamen Rider series and the 35 years of Kamen Rider Black.
