Maserati Hearse by Ellena Funeral Car

Speed kills. Everyone knows that, but what most people don’t know is, speed could be accompanying the dead too – thanks to this Maserati Hearse custom by Italian hearse specialist, Ellena. While luxury hearse is not unheard of (Mercedes-Benz knows best!), this Maserati Ghibli-based funeral car is probably the first. As you can see, the front end looks exactly like a regular Ghibli, but anything beyond the A pillar is custom to ferry the dead to his/her final destination. The custom works include a ridiculously stretched wheelbase that bumps up the entire car length to an astounding 260 inches which ended with a hatchback rear end that’s obviously not Maserati’s.

The Ellena G 3.0, as it is known, maybe reserved for the dead but it does not save on worldly details like alloy wheels wrapped with low profile tires, quad tail pipes, interior LED lighting, removable cross (for in the case of non-Christian), faux leather wrap and wait for this… dual-zone automatic climate control, so both the driver and the dead can keep their cool when en route to the final resting place. Plus there’s a handful of options like automatic tailgate and platform, and also tinted windows for those demand for convenience and well, privacy? Or something like that.

However, the G 3.0 will not be doing the send off at 200 mph though cos’ its 3.0L V6 Diesel unit just won’t allow it. But hey, I am sure the dead will appreciate a little more time in it before being buried six feet under and so reaching the final destination too quick may not be the best idea.
