Custom Leica Summilux 50mm f/1.4 Lens Cake by Pipette by Karen

I may not bake, but from what we have saw, baking have seen some pretty significant advancements. The techniques and new technology have enabled bakers to gone beyond traditional square or round confectionery with the oh-so-boring cream coating. Like I have said, I don’t bake, but this blog have definitely seen our fair share of out-of-this-world cakes and today, we will be adding the Custom Leica Summilux 50mm f1.4 Lens cake to the list. Sure. It may not be as mind-blowing as the Gamera cake, or as mind-boggling than the Dissected Ralph Wiggum cake, but it is impressive enough and I am sure whoever was the recipient of this cake will be absolutely delighted.

The cake was a masterpiece of baker Karen Ng, owner of home-based bespoke cakes and desserts bakery Pipette by Karen, and was made for a photographer who happens to own this $3,900 optic. The cake was a chocolate raspberry cake “covered and decorated in chocolate buttercream” to replicate the Leica 50 mm Summilux lens, complete with a focal length that indicates the recipient’s birth age. Sweet. Now, can someone make an iPhone X cake for me already?
