Electric vehicles like electric car is becoming an everyday thing, but electric motorcycle? Not so much. Well, I mean, if you consider electric scooter as motorcycle, then there’s quite a few options in the market. However, if you are thinking performance electric motorcycle, there’s just a handful.

The Damon Hypersport HS Electric Superbike is one of the latest to join this small pool of performance motorcycle and there is a lot of reasons to get excited about it. It may not have the futuristic aesthetic, but rest assure that it is loaded with pretty serious tech under the hood, ermm, I mean fairing.

For starter, Damon Hypersport HS Electric Superbike is not just any old electric bike with an electric motor shoved into it. It is the world’s smartest, safest, and for the speed demons out there, the most powerful electric motorcycle there is today.

Baked into it this electric superbike is a thing called CoPilot powered by BlackBerry QNX technology. CoPilot is an advanced system that offers an incredible level of situational awareness. With CoPilot, it continuously tracks and warns rider of danger through haptic feedback on the handlebars, integrated LEDs on the windshield, and an always on 1080p rear view rear-facing camera.

But as far as we know, Damon Motors is taking a proactive approach in safety and nothing reactive. It will be nice if a slid mitigation system is onboard to deal with sliding which happens so very often with two-wheelers. Just saying…

Anywho, Damon’s flagship electric motorcycle further feature Shift that lets you electronically adjust the bike’s riding position, based on the ride mode (Sport or Commuter), while in motion.

Drivetrain details are not available, but we do know it delivers over 200 horses and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) and it is paired to a 21.5 kWh battery which offers over 200 miles (322 km) range per charge, and it has a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h!).

It almost sounds too good to be true. I mean, a gorgeous, earthly-looking electric superbike that has both power and range? That really is like a dream come true for two-wheel enthusiasts, doesn’t it? But dream, this is not. You can actually reserve the Damon Hypersport HS today for a starting price of $24,995.
