living in an iPhone world results in many mouth-watering sound docks made just for iPhone (or iPod) and that fact seems to leave Android or Windows handset users in the cold. that might as well be a tech geek’s worst torture but then DockBoss comes along and offers non-iDevice users an opportunity to enjoy using those gorgeous sound dock. DockBoss is essentially an adapter with the 30-pin connector (female) on one end, and a 3.5-mm audio jack on the other. simply plug the 30-pin end to the sound dock, and plug the audio jack into just about any media devices that has 3.5-mm audio jack output. walah, now you can use non-iDevice with your sound dock made for iDevices. sounds like a brilliant idea? yes, except that most sound docks are already equipped with a 3.5-mm audio jack input. what a bummer, isn’t it? that aside, i think most sound docks would look neater with an iDevice docked to it, doesn’t it? not to mention that if the dock comes with a remote, you won’t be able to use it, except to control the volume. if you are still undaunted by this fact, then you can go ahead and grab your very own DockBoss for $23 a pop.
