Poco X4 and F4 Series Smartphones

If you are in the market for an affordable mid-range device, you may want to check out the new Poco F4 and X4 phones. The Poco F4 and X4 are follow up to last year’s F4 and X3 which had a starting price of just 199 euros. However, do not expect the same mind-blowing low stickers. But more on the individual prices below.

For those who don’t already know, Poco is now an independent brand under Xiaomi – not a subbrand as it was when it first started in 2018. Also, the brand is not officially available in China. The brand is available in select countries in Asia and Europe.

The Poco F4 GT is a flagship spec-ed device that costs a pretty low 549.90 euro (about US$574). Clockwork is handled by the 4 nm process Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, backed by up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The F4 GT is outfitted with a 120 Hz 6.67-inch FHD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) AMOLED display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, that supports HDR10+.

Imaging benefits from (also) a tri-camera configuration, comprising a 64 MP wide-angle camera with PDAF (strangely no OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide, and a 2 MP macro. Meanwhile, the front-facing snapper is a 20 MP item.

Other noteworthy mentions include physical magnetic pop-up gaming triggers, quad stereo speakers tuned by JBL, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, Beidou, QZSS, NavIC), NFC, IR, USB-C (2.0), side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 4,700 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging, PD 3.0, and QC 3+, and the garden variety of sensors.

Last checked, Poco X4 GT, Poco F4, and Poco F4 GT are listed on the Xiaomi Germany website. Over at UK’s website, there is only the F4 and an X4 Pro 5G. Now, I am confused.
