we are accustomed to classic automobiles given a contemporary look but a modern car given a classic car look and still look good, is far and few between. that’s exactly what the Ferrari 340 Competizione is about – a car with the look that reminiscent of the 1952 Ferrari 340 Mexico but with the goodness that comes with the modem Ferrari 456 GT. the internal livery includes a 5.4-liter V12 power plant that puts out a healthy 470-hp (350-kW), mated to a six-speed manual transmission and featuring new suspension, brakes, aerodynamics, and a beautiful aluminum bodywork in blazing Ferrari Red wraps up the classic-modern package.

the nostalgic affair continues to the interior, drawing inspiration from the 340 Mexico with a touch of cutting edge materials such as carbon fiber seats. all said, it has everything that should put a big wide smile on any motoring purists’ face. reportedly, only three of these fine examples will be made and since it bears the mark of the prancing horse, it still remain to be seen if it will, in fact, be available for purchase eventually. while you wait it out for the good news, why not head on past the jump to catch a glimpse of this beautiful beast. apparently, these are just renderings but they are enough to make us salivate profusely. lust, it is.
