SUV or Sports Utility Vehicle has been around for decades now, but it is only in recent years that we have seen a sudden surge in popularity in this segment. The popularity (read: business opportunity) has spurred traditional, non-believing automobile companies like Alfa Romeo and even luxury marque like Maserati to jump on to the bandwagon. Now, with the raging bull also in the game with Urus, it is a matter the time before every luxury marques will want a piece of the pie. Well, that’s of course, with the exception of Ferrari whose CEO Sergio Marchionne had publicly proclaimed no such thing will come to fruition as far as the prancing horse marque is concerned.
It was a strange statement, since Sergio is also the chairman of Maserati, a luxury car maker who already has SUVs in its lineup. Anyways, with the SUV trend on to luxury automakers, it makes you wonder, what if some of the world’s most recognizable cars were turned straight into SUVs?
