Imagine you were on the surface level of Tokyo-3 when an Angel attacked, and there were no other means of transportation. How you can get away in this situation? Run, obviously, or you could cruise away with the Elos x EVA Sports Skateboards.
Just kidding. You can’t outrun an Angel with this skateboard. Thankfully, there is no Angel our world (yet), biblical or those from the Evangelion universe. But you will get to carve the asphalt waves in your neighborhood with this super cool, Evangelion-themed skateboard.
To celebrate the new Evangelion movie, Evangelion 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon a Time, Evangelion Sports partnered with Elos Skateboards to release a special line of Elos x EVA Sports Skateboards – no synchronization with your 4-wheeled “EVA” required. Though you do need to know how to skateboard which Elos said, should be easy to pick up with their skateboards.
The skateboard was described as “a careful balance between clear urban aesthetics and a striking tribute to the EVA mechas,” and from the product images, it sure looks like it delivers.
Three models are available: one based on EVA 01, one based on EVA-01, and strangely but not any less welcomed, a Elos Skateboard based on the coolest character in the franchise, Rei Ayanami.
In addition to the obvious colorways to represent what each model is based on, each board’s Canadian Hardrock Maple deck is laser engraved with a limited-edition logo and a QR code unique to the owner.
Furthermore, the package also includes a canvas drawstring bag, featuring reflecting lettering, to pack it all up. Plus, there’s a matching EVA-themed Elos skate-tool to go with it too.
The Elos x EVA Sports Evangelion skateboard will sell for US$211.90 when it becomes available in late May, but you can secure a unit for 16% less, at US$179, if you pre-order today.
