Wait a minute… This can’t be true right? A smartphone and a foldable one to boot from Escobar Inc.? And yes, that is THE Escobar, a company founded in 1984 by the deceased notorious Colombian drug kingpin, Pablo Escobar, and his “biological” brother Roberto De Jesus Escobar Gaviria.
According to the official words, Escobar Fold 1, as it known as, was designed in the U.S. and made in Hong Kong with an initial production run of just 100,000 units. Aesthetically, the resemblance to Royole FlexPai we saw last year is uncanny.
Spec-sheet details include Android 9.0 OS, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6/8 GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128/512 GB storage – expandable up to 256 GB, 16 + 20 MP cameras with dual LED flash and OIS, and of course, a 7.8-inch flexible AMOLED FHD+ display…. Hang on there. Isn’t the specs identical to the FlexPai too?
And here’s how you sell a phone, the Escobar way:
Coincidence? I guess it does not matter. What matter is, there’s yet another folding phone out there and this one is coming from the infamous Escobar brand. Now, who dare to question its quality? No one? Good, then you may want to pick up a unit, unlocked from Escobar Inc. website for just $349.
There’s a TV commercial too. You can have look here:
