for hardcore Flappy Bird fans who still can’t get over the demise of the pixelated game, a Vietnamese outfit known as N3D has a piece of good news for you. they have immortalized the flapping avian creature into a 100 percent 14K solid gold collectible object, made by professional goldsmith in Vietnam. a fitting tribute to the once chart-topping iOS and Android games which was developed by one talented, introvert dude known as Dong Nguyen. apparently, N3D has sought the blessing to recreate the Flappy Bird from the man who started it all and so, this ready-for-your-taking collectible is totally legit. unlike the avian hero which is pixelated, this Golden Flappy Bird is completely smooth out and looks kind of cute, if you as me.

all in, the bird weighs in at 85.23g with a pair of black stones as eyes and of which, 84.525g is the actual gold mass. its creator even proudly announced the composition of the bird as laid out in an X-ray fluorescence test report. according to the seller, proceed from the sale of the bird will be used to help those in need in Vietnam, though the seller stop short of detailing it further. the Golden Flappy Bird is currently going under the hammer and at of this writing, it has already garnered $2,900 in bid amount. with 15 days more days to go, only time will tell how much this little birdie will fetch. whatever the eventual amount is, a four-figure (or more?) sum for a game icon is really pushing the envelope of opulence. but then again, when a person is all mad about one thing, you can’t really stop them from acquiring anything and everything flappy, can you?
