Pizza. The food of Italian origin is not often consumed for breakfast, but that has changed with a new flavor of pizza from little known pizza chain in the U.S., Fong’s Pizza.

The pizza restaurant’s location at 3018 Forest Ave., Des Moines in Iowa, has recently introduced, believe it or not, Froot Loops Pizza. Yes. THAT Froot Loops. The ring-shaped, fruit-flavored breakfast cereal from Kellogg’s.

The new breakfast pizza is only available at Fong’s at Forest Ave. Why? Apparently, Iowans have a thing for breakfast pizza. Absolutely bonkers. Both for having pizza for breakfast and having Froot Loops as a topping on a pizza.

However, Fong’s Pizza is no stranger to such edible oddities. The pizza restaurant has a long list of pizza with unusual toppings, including ramen, General Tso’s chicken, Crab Rangoon, and Mongolian sauce pizza – just to name a few.

Basically, it is pizza with a Far East twist. But that’s just in stateside. If you look elsewhere, outlets of Domino’s and Pizza Hut in Asia countries frequently has local flavored pizzas. Then again, those localities won’t go as far as having cereals as topping for pizza.
