there is the S-MAX and then there is the S-MAX Vignale Concept, a ‘souped up’ ride that’s targeted at folks who wants something a little more fancy than the regular S-MAX. though it won’t be available just yet; but it will be, eventually. showcased at the Salone del Mobile during the Milan Design Week, the Vignale really catches our attention with its rose metallic pearlescent paint job known as “Millano Grigio”, huge 21-inches Vignale alloy wheels (on a MPV!), dark-chromed polished aluminum detailing and a special hexagonal grille. naturally, the cosmetic upgrades are not restricted to the outside; on the inside of this seven-seater, it has a contrasting dark theme with leather stretching from the dashboard, all the way to the rear luggage compartment, complemented by exclusive Vignale-embossed seats with hexagonal quilting in high-quality and ultra-soft leather enhanced with woven texture-embossed aluminum detailing.

other highlights include advanced car-to-car communications, tablet docking stations in the back and an intelligent flexible seating concept with thin seat technology. though it is said that the Ford S-MAX Vignale Concept will eventually be made, there is no word on when that will materialize, or how much it will cost. so if fancy is what you are after and you are not in a hurry for a MPV (aka mini van), then you might want to wait out for it to hit the market. then again, you’d have to be quite a serious Blue Oval fan to be waiting out for an otherwise regular MPV. i mean, the market is full of choices, isn’t it? though we have to agree that the S-MAX Vignale looks pretty rad. decision. decision.
