Free Evangelion Movies Plus 12 Minutes of New Movie
Wait, what? Two EVA Unit-01???

Three Evangelion movies will be streaming on YouTube for free over the weekend. Plus, Studio Khara will be premiering the first 12 minutes of the new movie, Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time, on YouTube on March 8 – the same day as the movie hit the theaters in Japan.

Starting on March 5, at 8 PM Japan Time, Amazon Prime Video Japan will stream Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone on its YouTube channel. The second movie, Evangelion 2.0: You Are (Not) Advance, will be streamed on the second day at the same time (8 PM) before rounding up with the third movie, Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo on March 7 at 9.45 PM JST.

There’s, of course, regional restriction as always. Perhaps, having a VPN will help fans living outside of Japan. Just suggesting…

Following the streaming of the third movie, which is expected to run from 9.45 PM (March 7) to 12.30 AM (March 8), Studio Khara will premiere the opening scene of the last movie of the tetralogy, Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time.

At midnight of March 8, the first 12 minutes, 10 seconds, and 10 frames of the new film will be shown.

We have to give Studio Khara an “A” for marketing efforts. It would have been “A+” if the campaign extends outside of Japan.
