From the maker of the super sleek FUELL Fllow Electric Commuter is the FUELL Flluid, the world’s longest-range e-bike. After Fllow, Erick Buell also wants to have pedal-powered vehicles covered with a brand new pedal-assist bicycle called Flluid.
The Flluid e-bike boasts an all-new Valeo Cyclee Mid Drive Unit with 750 W and 130 Nm (96 lb-ft) on the tap and mated to an integrated fully automatic and predictive gear shifting to ensure smooth power regardless of the terrain. However, if so desire, users can change gear manually too.
The new Flluid features an aluminum frame with a clean, uncluttered design, and boasts Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, and a Gates Carbon drive belt. Meanwhile, an embedded connectivity system inside the frame allows you to locate, remotely lock/unlock the bike, and get warning about unusual movements, as well as access data and stats on usage, and more using the companion app.
There is an option to press down the throttle and enjoy the ride without pedaling. This feature, dubbed throttle assist, is available up to 20 mph (32 km/h) and is limited to 6 km/h for the EU versions.
Two models are being offered, namely, Flluid-2 and Flluid-3. Differentiating the two is the battery and range. The Flluid-2 is outfitted with two removable batteries, totaling 2,000 W, while the Flluid has one 1,000 W removable battery.
With a maximum range of 225 miles (350 km) on a single charge, Flluid-2 stakes claim as the world’s longest-range e-bike. The Flluid-3, on the other hand, offers 110 miles (180 km) range in between charges. Oh, right. The Flluid-3 has a slightly different frame too; it has a step-through frame.
Each model is further available in Flluid-2 and Flluid-3 has a max speed of 20 km/h (25 km/h in the EU), and Fluiid-2S and Flluid-3S that tops out at 28 mph (45 km/h in the EU). The Flluid is suited for various sizes of riders, ranging from 5’1” to 6’5” (1.55 to 1.95 cm).
