Full Metal 5000 series G-Shock has the benefits of regular G-Shock watches, but being metal, it has its perks. Perks like getting a rose gold finish that actually look kind of luxurious. Or getting the red IP and somehow look pretty up market too.
Those are, btw, two recent finishes to join the G-Shock Full Metal 5000 series. Both the rose gold and red finish are achieved through ion-plating and the respective finishes extends to the case to the bracelet.
The dial face’s outside border (or inner bezel, if you will) of each timepiece is also treated to a matching tone, while the border surrounding the center display is done in black on each wrist watch.
Beyond that, the G-Shock Full Metal 5000 Red and Rose Gold gets the usual G-Shock features, including shock resistance, water resistance to 200 meters, self-charging Tough Solar Technology, Bluetooth connectivity that allows it to work with the G-Shock Connected app, STN-LCD digital display, Full Auto Super Illuminator LED light, and there’s, of course, Multi-Band 6 radio-powered timekeeping.
Both the Rose Gold (GWMB5000GD-4) and Red (GMWB5000RD-4) Full Metal Series G-Shock sells for US$600. The former will next month while the latter is available as we speak from select Jewelers, the G-Shock Soho Store, and Gshock.com.
