I am sure everyone remember former NASA engineer Mark Rober’s Glitter Bomb Trap. A year and half on, Mark, with the help of his friend (and cameos by Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin), is back with a second version.
Aptly called Glitter Bomb Trap 2.0, this new karma-serving fake package gets some serious upgrades. It now uses biodegradable glitter, has not one but two fart sprays loaded with even foul-smelling fart, and as a final touch, it now has sounds.
Following the dispensing of the hard-to-clean glitter and foul smell, is a countdown to nothing (just to freak out the perpetrator), plus a recording of a police scan to make the porch thief believe that the police may be after them.
The rest of the setup is pretty much the same as last year’s, except now the enclosure is sleeker and hid the four phones inside securely, so that the thieves will have no idea there are in there.
Not only the hardware has gotten an upgrade. The deployment of the Glitter Bomb Trap was scaled up too. A select number of followers on Mark’s social media came forward to volunteered to be sent the package.
Anywho, we will leave to enjoy the video that should be called ‘Karma served: porch thieves edition’. Trust me, it will be 18+ minutes of your life well-spent – more so if you ever had packages stolen by the notorious porch thieves.
