I can’t believe Stuart Hughes’ Goldstriker International is still the business of luxing up gadgets. Not many companies that deal in luxing gadgets have survived the test of time. We can name at least three that are now defunct but we are not going to.
Anyways, not only is Stuart Hughes alive and kicking, it differentiates itself by taking the lesser-known routes: luxing up non-mainstream gadgets. The Goldstriker Solid Gold & Diamond Huawei Mate 40 RS you see here is one such non-mainstream gadget.
The 330 grams (11.6 oz) of solid gold found on the phone back cover features numerous VVS1 diamonds set on an incredibly intricate pattern engraved by hand, along with a complication boasting a dial with an image of a ferocious leopard. The watch – for should we say a clock – is mounted on an insane protrusion that will put any camera bump to shame.
The Goldstriker Solid Gold & Diamond Huawei Mate 40 RS is definitely not a phone that you want to place on the table screen up; you want it to be placed screen down so that the amazing work of art can be appreciated fully by everyone.
As expected, each unit comes with its own, equally exquisite wooden box.
As for the tech specs, we supposed they are identical to the stock Mate 40 RS. Though it is not clear if it is running on Harmony OS or not.
If anyone’s interested, you can find Goldstriker Solid Gold & Diamond Huawei Mate 40 RS on stuarthughes.com and on Goldstriker.co.uk selling for a cool £69,995 (or US$92,747).
