There’s no denying that the newly announced Huawei Mate40 Series are beautiful, top-spec-ed devices. However, for those who have the riches and very much prefer something even more premium, you may want to look at the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 40 RS.

Porsche Design Huawei Mate 40 RS Smartphone

Like its predecessors, the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 40 RS is very much a rebranded Mate40 with a slightly different back cover design. It has an octagonal camera bump with rounded corners as opposed to the Halo Ring camera bump (but the setup is the same).

Look pretty sleek, IMHO. And it is not just the look; it has a different material too. The back of the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 40 RS is of high-strength nano-tech ceramic that melts with the ridiculously curved 88-degree Horizon Display.

But really, aesthetic and premium material are about the two things that set this ultra-premium Mate40 apart from the rest of the Mate40s. Wait. I lied. Ceramic is also found on the Mate40 Pro+. So, it is basically just the a different back cover and camera bump, and of course, the all-important Porsche Design branding tastefully slapped on its back.

However beautiful the device is, truth be told, it is essentially the Mate40 Pro+ with larger storage (512 GB). So, whether or not those aesthetic and larger storage deserves an almost €900 premium – at €2,295 a pop, is really up to you and your financial standing.
