In case you have been living under a rock, AI Chatbot is all the rage now. It all started when Open A.I. launched its eerily human-like chatbot, ChatGPT. With news of Microsoft investing billions into integrated AI Chatbot into its search engine Bing, Google is not going to take a backseat.
The search giant has in recent months launched its answer to ChatGPT and it is called Bard. However, unlike Microsoft, Bard is not integrated into Google’s search engine. Well, at least not yet. There is a dedicated website for Bard. Bard has been in development for years and it is only in recent months that it has been offered access to the public.
There’s a catch though. It is only available to users in the U.K. and the U.S., and also, it is not immediate access. You have to get yourself onto the waitlist.
Well, what can I say? It is frustrating, to say the least. Google has proved once again it is slow to react to change. Even at this point, it is still slowly rolling out the technology. Likewise, it is slow to react to the emerging short video trend. It is slow to catch on.
While YouTube shorts is quite cool, the algorithm is not as sophisticated as TikTok’s and so is the user interface. IMHO, the entire organization suffers from the fatal flaw of putting business before users. TikTok’s algorithm puts users’ interests first before business.
The rollout of Bard also highlights how unprepared the company is in dealing with emerging threats. Anyhoo, you may learn more about Bard in the video below, and over on a blog post on The Keyword.
