Just not too long ago, noise cancellation feature on a pair of true wireless earbuds is consider a premium feature. But today, it has become a common feature. At least, it is in China. Soon to the hit the market is the Haylou T16 True Wireless Earbuds, currently being crowdfunded on Xiaomi Youpin.
Haylou is not stranger in the headphones market, but the Haylou T16 True Wireless Earbuds is set to give pricier noise cancellation TWS earphones a run for their money. The star feature here is, very obviously, noise cancellation which is a hybrid noise reduction technology that reduces noise to a depth of 35 dB.
All told there are three noise cancellation modes, namely, Transparent, Noise Cancellation, and ‘Outdoor’. ‘Transparent’ essentially is ambient noise mode, enabling you to hear conversation, while ‘Outdoor’ reduces wind noise during fast moving activities like cycling and running.
In addition, the T16 has a bunch of premium features, including Copper-Clad Aluminum Wire (CCAW) voice coil, independent Bluetooth connection to each earbud, low latency, automatic connection (the moment you flip open the charging case), IPX5 rated construction, Find My Earbud function, and listening customization through smartphone app, and USB-C as well as wireless charging.
Haylou T16 True Wireless Earbuds has a 6 hour battery life, or up to 30 hours when use with the included charging case. Usually, a pair of TWS earphones as feature rich would cost upwards of US$100, but the Haylou T16 True Wireless Earbuds is actually selling for just 279 yuan (or under US$40 based on today’s going rate).
