If you love Marvel Studios’ rendition of Mighty Thor aka Jane Thor, then you really have to check out this collectible offered by Hot Toys. The Hot Toys Thor: Love and Thunder Mighty Thor 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure is crafted based on Mighty Thor’s appearance in this latest Thor film, played by Natalie Portman.
Hot Toys Thor: Love and Thunder Mighty Thor 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure features a helmeted head sculpt, a newly developed head sculpt with blonde wavy hair sculpture, a newly designed body with seamless arms, finely tailored body armor in metallic silver and red with a red fabric cape, and sculpted accessories including a damaged Mjolnir with LED light-up function, a Mjolnir with lightning effect, and a figure stand.
A special edition, which will be available in select markets, features an additional interchangeable helmet with battle damage, revealing part of Jane’s face. Speaking of Jane’s face, it is strange that Hot Toys blurred out the non-helmet wearing head sculpt on the product page.
Perhaps, the rights to use Natalie Portman’s face have yet to be settled, and/or the design has not yet been confirmed at the time of the photoshoot of the prototype product. I could be wrong, anyways… the Hot Toys Thor: Love and Thunder Mighty Thor 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure stands about 29 cm (11.4 inches) tall and boasts 30 points of articulation. It will come with a themed figure stand with the movie logo and character name.
The figure will be released sometime in Q4, 2023-Q1, 2024. If you are keen, you pre-order it from various online retailers, including Sideshow, for US$305 or thereabout.
